Whiting Field Maintenance Hangar

The maintenance hangar at NAS Whiting Field is built around aircraft and the systems that protect them, including an AFFF firefighting-foam containment system that drove much of the design coordination. The Jenkins Group's scope included peer review of the containment system against current criteria.

Hangar work is large-span, code-intensive, and unforgiving — the building has to clear the aircraft, manage hazardous materials, and meet NAVFAC and life-safety standards without compromise.
