Clariant Colorworks
The Clariant Colorworks Lab is an interior renovation that turned existing office space into a multi-functional design center for colored plastics — a place where a product is conceived, manufactured in a viewable production space, and analyzed in a controlled-lighting lab. The Jenkins Group designed it as a 'clean palette' for designers, punctuated with bold color drawn from Clariant's brand.
The project won a 2013 ALA Interior Merit Award, recognizing a workspace that is both a precise technical instrument and a vivid expression of the company's identity.
A color lab has to be a blank canvas and a billboard at the same time.
